Brandon Boyd is a prolific singer, songwriter, and fine artist who has been carrying a sketchbook since the age of five in the hopes of discovering enlightened moments for creative freedom.
Brandon Boyd is the lead vocalist of the rock band Incubus — a special privilege that allows him the opportunity to perform, as well as pursue his love of the arts. He continues to work hard and leverage the power of both in published books, limited editions, and prints. Mark Murphy consulted with Brandon and leveraged his then portfolio of journals, photos, and sketches into his first monograph, White Fluffy Clouds.
Mark hit the road with Incubus and met up with Brandon during different stages of the book design and production process. And he collaborated with Steve Rennie, manager of Incubus at that time, coordinating all-digital production procedures from California to Hong Kong and back again. Mark’s goal was to procure high-quality printing, first-time poster, postcards, a standard edition of the book, and a limited edition slipcase.
Needless to say, the first 10,000 copies sold out within one year while on tour. The book has steadily gained cult status for Brandon’s willingness to share his genuine honesty and provide a peek into inspiration for his exceptional songwriting.
